Service and Program Evaluations

Communio has extensive experience and expertise in evaluation across the continuum from designing key performance indicators and evaluation frameworks to the conduct of large scale national evaluations and reviews.

Communio generally uses a triangulated approach noting that no one approach will yield sufficient information on its own to draw robust conclusions. Communio will use an iterative, formative or summative style in conducting evaluations depending on the subject being evaluated, the extent of data available, the amount of resource committed, the timeframe and the extent to which stakeholder engagement is required.

Communio’s evaluation approach is based on the following principles:

* Evaluation related to goals and objectives – Communio’s methodology ensures the evaluation is focused on the objectives of the Strategy

* Consistency and flexibility – Communio’s evaluation design ensures that whilst the stakeholder consultations will be consistent in information sought, their approach will include appropriate flexibility to take into account the diversity of stakeholders within the programs

* Feasibility – Communio’s evaluation designs are realistic, prudent and cost-effective

* Propriety – Communio’s conduct of evaluations are legal, ethical and have due regard for the welfare of those involved in the evaluation as well as those affected by its results

* Accuracy – Communio’s evaluations are technically correct, so that appropriate, precise, fair and clear interpretations of findings can be made.
